Avatar Feature Design

The first avatar concepts I developed were heart-shaped characters, designed to visually align with the app’s core purpose of heart health monitoring.

After several iterations, the concept evolved from abstract heart characters into animal-based avatars, creating a more emotionally engaging direction.
The bear was explored for its unique ability to naturally regulate its heartbeat during winter, creating a meaningful connection to the app’s health-focused purpose.
Ultimately, the turtle was selected for its association with longevity, resilience, and a long, healthy life.

The character was designed with Unity cut-out animation in mind, allowing the in-house animation team to bring it to life through modular, separately delivered character and customization assets.

Backgrounds were also designed as a customization option, allowing users to personalize their avatar’s environment and experience further.
